The Catcher in the Rye...

I like this book so far. Holden seems like he is very interesting person and he has a lot of things going on in his head. The book needs to pick up the pace a little, it is going a little to slow for me. I can kind of relate to Holden because a lot of times I can't focus and I start to think of other things. I can't wait to read more and I hope that the pace picks up a little more.

Tuesday's with Morrie

The movie helped me picture and understand who Morrie and Mitch are a person a lot better. The movied was pretty much the same as the book with a few differences. I recognized that the interview that we watched was the one that Mitch saw Morrie in. The movie also helped me visualize the book better and helped me understand it more. In the movie some of the facts aren't exactly the same as the book. I think this might cause a little confusion when it comes to taking a quiz. Overall I think that the movie was beneficial to me.

Morrie's Interview

Morrie knows more about dying than anyone would want to learn. He focuses on what matters in life instead of the material things. Morrie said that you shouldn't blame yourself for what is happening because its not your fault. I think you should accept it and live life to its fullest until that day comes. Morrie makes some very good points during the interview. He said you should talk about it. If you don't it just destroys your self-esteem and that's what keeps you going. You should accept it. You shouldn't be ashamed because its not your fault that it is happening to you. You should also keep an open heart and be alert to things that interest you. Be compassionate and be kind to yourself. You didn't create the illness and that's something you have to live with. You should always have a good support system to back you up. Morrie can help people that have an illness to accept it better and to live your life with no regrets and to just be a happier person.
